Went to the viewing area a lovely day out watching planes land and take off. Picnic tables are sited so you can sit down and enjoy. Safe for children to watch planes.
Take your own food and drinks because there is nothing around there except parked cars.
Car parking fees are a little expensive but you can pay by card. Two hours £15 but worth it.

Organised chaos was the general feeling. Once you pass security there is very little seating. Maybe they just want people to wander around the shops? There are many hand sanitizer units around, unfortunately they are all empty. The WiFi is also not working, oh joy ????

It’s what you expect from a airport

Been here a few times as it’s the closest airport to me

Parking is expensive… pre booked and paid over £120 to leave car here

Food is expensive… Went to the Starbucks and had two drinks for the kids which was over £10

But it’s a airport. People are either going or coming from holiday so I guess don’t really think about the price.

Reason for the one lower star is how poorly run the place is … have you ever noticed how dirty the place is. Now can’t complain with the cleaners there I’m sure they do there best but there isn’t enough of them.

With somewhere earning as much as these. Employ more cleaning staff. When going though security the window and ledges were filthy. I’d say they hadn’t been cleaned in a good 4/5 months if not longer.

We have just come out of Covid. But it’s still around. In places where there is immense footfall from all over the world you would think keeping the place clean would be priority.

Lose a few percentage profit and keep the standards up

Very nice airport bag drop was fast and easy. The security queue was another matter very long. fast track was worth got straight through.
Lots of shopping and restaurants would definitely use again

Nice little airport with lots of possibilities to eat, drink and shop.
Security check can be modified as it takes a long time to pass.
All in all to be recommended.

Checked in at the counter very quick....queues at security is another question. Extremely long wait to go through security.... You could even sense the security personal becoming irate due to the double checks they had to do....
Passengers crying as they missed their flights due to the length of time at security. To top it all the gate number for my flight appeared past the flight time...flight was delayed by about an hour. Plane turned out to a twin propeller....not flown on these for quite some time.
Never seen Birmingham airport in a chaotic situation before.....but at the end of it got to my destination ok.

Quick visit to England, Airport was clean, plenty of staff available to answer any questions (needed assistance for onward training). Shuttle bus frequent and quick.

Birmingham Airport is beautiful. The runaway is smooth. There are so many hotels around Birmingham Airport. It gets busy from 3am.
