So much fun to get the train. Took it 3/4 way up Snowdon to Clogwyn station and walked the rest.

Drivers are really friendly and helpful, giving great commentary on the journey.

Brilliant journey and I would recommend to anyone, especially if lacking mobility, it means you can get amazing mountain views with minimal effort.

Okayish train ride up the hills
Warm temperatures can make u feel suffocated
Cramped up space
Needs to be more airy the train journey
All in all it’s an average thing-to do. But not worth the money your putting into can be avoided
View are beautiful up there

The snow-down mountain railway!
We were very excited to do this one, we bought early birds ticket too early this year. We were excited to do the train experience till the top of the snow down mountain.

Two weeks before we got a notice that the rail track work was not completed and the train journey would only be 2/3rd of the summit. They refunded some amount back.

We reached the station 30min before. Got the tickets and got seats at the front. The rail moved very slowly but the views are beautiful. You ll enjoy the view but might get bored as the speed is slow. We reached the 2/3rd of the height of snow down. There the train will stop for 30 min to give you time to take pictures and roam around a little bit. REMEMBER the most important thing here is that the weather there is super cold! Your hands will get numb while clicking pictures. Wear ear muffs, caps , jackets , gloves. Layer up!

Everything was good! We did not enjoy the views as much as we did the hike by ourself a day earlier. We took 7 hours by foot to do this journey to the top do the summit. It was worth it! So don’t attempt the hike if you plan on doing the train ride, it will be a spoiler!

It was a wonderful experience of my life. The journey is like a dream. The train slowly entered inside the dome of the cloud. The scenic view from the top of Snowdonia was mesmerizing. The lake view was awesome. One tip for the tourist:- Temperature is quite lower at the top than the station you are starting. So, be prepared for it.

Mountain railway. Staff friendly. Very good. Check weather forecast as the railway is very weather dependent. Nice cafe/kiosk with tea/coffee etc at reasonable prices. All in all very good, allow at least a couple of hours.

Lovely ride up to the 3/4 station, as at this time of year, it doesn't go all the way up. Takes about 45 minutes to get up, a half hour stop at the station, where I decided to walk a little up the mountain and back in the time, and 45 minutes down, there are a few passing points where the train waits for an oncoming train to pass, this can sometimes be a sizable wait as the timings aren't always insync. Personally I avoided the food, which looked OK, but was a tad expensive, in my opinion.

Great way to see nice views, unfortunately the wind was up and the train couldn't get to the top. I suggest getting a refund before you go if there is a wind warning..

Another great experience well worth doing and the views are great, it was just a pity we could only go 3/4 of the way up the mountain and not to the summit.
