Gorgeous mix of modern and traditional. Park, woodlands and beautiful lakeside walks with plenty of nature to be spotted. Geese, ducks, herons and more. Dotted with the odd bit of history from it’s former hunting park days. One of the largest urban parks in Europe I hear…

Great park. Always clean and tidy. Lots of benches, bins and signs. Animal friendly and accessible for everyone regardless of their physical ability. Also good for bikes and running. Lots of parking spaces for cars and of course a safe playground for kids.

Playground is there, it's a huge and a historic park has an old abbey first floor has a concession ,vendors selling snacks, there is a toilet ???? facility also, but they close early around 17:00 " pm"
But that's not the only toilets in the park there are other, there are old bridges a body of water with Swans & Ducks , a river , flowers, birds ???? very big old trees, signs explaining the history and the significance of it ,Dogs should on a leash, and not allowed ???? in playgrounds,picnics benchs , trash bins you could pass a whole day there it's kids and adults paradise , because of its vastness there is always a nice quiet areas for those who likes the sound of nature, a very enjoyable experience , you do feel that you you are in deeply rooted England ???????? as oppose to " the new world "

So peaceful. Clean and well maintained. Roundhay Park is the biggest park in Europe and is extremely well kept with hardly any maintenance people around. I went midweek, and it was still busy but quiet. Benches are available and dotted all over the main paths, although the ducks like to sit under them, so be careful.
Plenty of space for dog walking as long as they are on a lead.

The park is so big I couldn't walk from one end to the other. Lots of grass area to play and have picnics. Really nice hills.

One of the Finest parks in Leeds.
Abundant space to spend an evening.
Good view on almost all the sides

Park doesn’t do it justice - it’s both huge and varied. Lakes, hills, forests, playgrounds (yes, all plural) not to mention a mansion, folly and ‘train’.

If you expect to get around all of it in your me go then you’ve made an error. Pick your side and destination and then enjoy.

It’s not all perfect, one of the lakes is a bit worse for wear and stagnant, though it still has nesting swans. And yes, the carnival is right next to one of the play parks. It was also hard to find any ice cream on a bank holiday.

But also the place was so big that despite loads of people being there it was easy to find your own space. Given it is the biggest city park in Europe that’s not surprising, how big it really is was surprising!

Well worth a visit.

Roundhay Park is absolutely lovely! This park is very spacious and provides a tranquil environment for people to unwind. There are so much to see and enjoy in every corner of the park. Worth coming at different time of the year.
