Huge park very close to the city centre. Large grass areas, some lakes and the small hills to climb, so something to do for everyone. It was fairly busy on a lovely, sunny weekend, but it never felt crowded.
Lots of people were walking their dogs, but they were all well behaved.
Nice, clean facilities.

Alhamdulillah, such a beautiful place. The hiking on the top of mountain was an easy trail. My trip to Edinburgh would not complete without visiting this lovely place to enjoy the sunset.

I spent a morning here walking around queens drive which circumnavigates the park and is roughly four miles , some parts are steep ascent but benches are provided at regular intervals . Sat in the middle is an extinct or passive volcano from prehistoric times which spewed out molten rock to form the very impressive structure in the middle . Holy rood palace the royal staying place when they visit these parts is also in the park , hence the royal reference to the road queens drive

Beautiful park to have a walk round, or a picnic. Lovely views over Edinburgh if you walk up Arthur's Seat

Holyrood Park is a great place to walk, view the old town of Edinburgh from above and much more!
Be aware of possible strong winds. Wear suitable hiking shoes and waterproof and windproof clothing.

One of the best parks I’ve ever seen in a capital. Highly recommended to go for a run/walk/hike. Great views and atmosphere. Very clean too.

It's a must visit place in Edinburgh..

It's free for visitors and half a day is required to visit this park properly.. There is a viewpoint called Arthur's seat, from where one can enjoy the spectacular view of edinburgh. Near to this park, Holyrood palace and Edinburgh Parliament are also there to visit..
