Very nice place to visit with the family. You'll spend about an hour walking through the palace and then probably another hour at the gardens. I wish there was more historical information about the palace during the tour but it mostly highlights newer fashion. The tour is self paced. When queuing, there are umbrellas to use while in the sun.

The gardens are beautiful and a huge pond. Lots of people walking around.

Beautiful experience, especially now, with the Crown to Couture exhibition. Lots to see and admire ???????? but not too tiring. Plenty of places to sit and a nice cafe downstairs ☕️???? A nice stroll through the gardens to end the visit ???? Worth booking in advance!

As its based in Hyde Park it made a great day. Sun out perfect. Kensington Palace itself is as you would expect, very regal ,superb architecture.
There is an exhibition in there at the moment which is fine but for me it took away the interest of the actual building and history of the Palace. But all in all its a lovely place.

Check the fashion exhibition here on a weekend day, not very busy, the exhibition content & permanently collections are pretty interesting, especially the restoration pf Queen Victoria’s childhood life. The only thing bothered me was their routine design, i can see they put lots of effort to ensure visitors going to right place.
It is definitely better to get tickets in advance especially for weekends.

While this palace may be somewhat smaller than others, it certainly does not lack in historical significance or charm. Now serving as a museum, it provides fascinating insights into various aspects of history and culture. During my visit, there was a captivating exhibition on fashion, illustrating the evolution and impact of style through the ages.

Additionally, the palace hosts a second museum dedicated to the childhood of Britain's royal children. It was particularly enlightening to delve into Queen Victoria's early life, providing a rare glimpse into the formative years of this iconic monarch.

What left an indelible impression was the charming small theatre, a testament to the palace's rich cultural history. This feature is an absolute must-see.

Please note that entry to the palace requires a ticket. It's also worth mentioning that if you arrive later than the scheduled time, there might be a lengthy wait. However, the wealth of history and beauty housed within its walls makes the wait worthwhile. This palace is more than a destination; it's a journey into the past.

I went to Kensington palace for the Crown to Couture exhibit. They did an exquisite job setting up the modern Met Gala pieces mixed in with the historical garments while explaining the tradition compared to the modern era. The palace inside is exquisite so I'm certain no matter what exhibit they have on it's worth going!

The Couture exhibition was really good ???? There were a variety of original old and new pieces to inspect. The timed tickets allowed space to view.
The palace itself is lovely and the grounds were in their glory this summer ????
We had tea and cake in the garden and it was wonderful although my vegan cake was very dry and disappointing. The service was impeccable.
The gift shop was really beautiful with great choices for a variety of budgets. I think the quality of the items on sale were in-keeping with the proud heritage of the palace.
A really great day out.
