Very clean and underwhelming shopping centre. Not as big as it looks, all on the upper level and only has a few well known names.

Wilko, New Look and JD Sports inside.
Poundland, Boots and Iceland on the outside

The Market Gates Shopping Centre is good enough I think. There are a lot of shops here and it's good to go in for a few minutes. The Great Yarmouth Town Centre covers a wide area and has a lot of shops. Despite there being lots of shops in the main Town Centre the Victoria Arcade has been made to suffer a bit I think. The Market Gates also has a few closed shops mainly due to the collapse of Debenhams. I think Great Yarmouth should ask for help to further improve the Town centre to make the town centre the main shopping centre in Norfolk.

I went here because it is constantly being advertised on the radio as the "gateway to great shopping". It is not! Lots of the shops are empty and closed up. The whole place felt sad and rundown. The carpark is one of those with pillars every 3 parking spaces so in busy times it could be difficult to park. You can only use cash to pay at the machine. What is that all about in this day and age? Why do none of the pay stations take cards round here?

Haven't visited Great Yarmouth for a while, was very disappointed it looks rundown and unloved. It was the middle of June and not alot open. We only spent 3days b&b (where we stayed was very nice ( big shout out to Beaumont House) It's such a shame Great Yarmouth gone downhill, had in the past had happy times there with family and husband, sorry don't think we'll be going back.

This is a liminal space for real. We entered the building to find it empty. the architecture of the building was very off-putting and uncanny. we saw the toilets, and the Hallway is LEVEL 0 OF THE BACKROOMS, The toilets let to A Parking garage resebling level 1 from the backrooms wiki.

This is a very nice shopping centre. There is a good selection of shops. A marvelous little stall that sells retro sweets that takes me back to my childhood! There is a multi storey car park attached and large, clean toilets.

Fair number of empty units, it was clean, there was no toilet facilities and when you have a disabled adult with you that needs a loo, having to walk a long way to nearest facilities is not acceptable. I was held hostage to have to purchase a terrible coffee from Burger King in order to use the loo!

Located almost directly next to the bus station. Go in the side door and there is a curtain and material shop directly in front of you. Escalator stairs up and down to your right. I don’t know if it’s just me but they seem to be at quite a steep angle. Judge for yourself. I’m not 100% sure but I think there is a lift too at this entrance if not the other end is a slope which electrically operated wheelchairs can manoeuvre it’s quite steep so if you’re pushing a wheelchair take deep breaths. Ok, so there is a kfc at the top of the escalator various other shops and charity shops ymca etc. coffee shops with seating, a shoe shop watches . A sweet shop all laid out against a wall good selection. Clothing, jewellery and hardware. There are toilets on this level. Phone stalls for cases and screen protectors dotted around too. There is a handbag shop that my wife uses a lot ????????u200d♂️????u200d♂️ and a clothing shop where my wife sometimes use. It opens at the market the slope end. There’s a lot of parking around but all pay and display especially between April and October there are several other eating places dotted around outside and the normal sea side shops leading to the sea front. A nice park close by.
